Business Analytics Manager

The Business Analytics Manager will help launch and lead the analytics and process improvements between sales, marketing, customer service, operations, and other departments. This role is our liaison between LA-CO Industries and distributor customers in communications of data, analytics, and improvement opportunities.  As the resident expert in our data, this role must understand, review, analyze and evaluate processes for internal and external needs specific to the company ERP application in conjunction with external data sources.  The Business Analytics Manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining business and functional requirements across the commercial, operational and finance teams.

What You’ll Do

Commercial, Operational, & Strategic Analytics:

  • Work closely with leaders across product, sales, Operations, and marketing to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions.
     

  • Analyze, documents and shares analytics and metrics with customers and company peers to improve company and business process efficiencies.  Works with teams to modify business processes for leveraging LA-CO business system information to achieve business value, scale and to facilitate strategic business decisions
     

  • Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the company.
     

  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.


Business Process Analyst:

  • Develops and maintains commercial & operational KPIs, tracking and reporting to quantify contributions to overall company financial and process performance
     

  • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions
     

  • Oversee the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc.
     

  • Develops, institutionalizes, supports team adoption and maintains thorough process mapping, data analysis, procedure writing, and documentation, following internal IT standards and guidelines

IT Collaboration:

  • Works closely with IT Development Staff to ensure process improvements are aligned with OSS/BSS roadmap

  • Collaborates on future commercial and operational state development with recommended business improvement areas and required progress steps to senior level management to improve efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field strongly preferred

  • Process improvement methodologies focusing in Commercial & Operational areas including Customer Service, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain

  • Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.

  • 5+ years of Business Analysis and Process and Systems Implementation experience

  • Demonstrated success developing and presenting solutions to complex business situations

  • 5+ years of Dynamics CRM experience a plus

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills including ability to review, interpret, correlate and present data in a concise manner

  • Expertise with Microsoft products including Excel, MS SQL, Power Automate and PowerBI.  

  • 5+ years of experience with MS Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations a plus

  • Excellent documentation skills (promptness, accuracy, thoroughness, legibility)
